This weeks Mantra is a progression of last weeks mantra.
The mantra of the week is: ” Take one step at a time. Repeat. ”
As simplistic as it seems, it’s incredibly easy to get tripped up and fall flat on your face by trying to leap from point A to point Q.
From point A, we might leap easily to point C (because point B is being nice and cooperative; thank you, B.)
Why then is it, that our minds continually scurry causing many scraped knees and blows to the head as it bolts too far too quickly ahead?
it’s similar when we stretch our body. have you ever practiced bending forward and hurried to see HOW FAR you can bend without stopping to feel the parts in between standing and folded fully?
there’s a TON of tactile information in the transition. that’s where it’s like anticipating Q to quickly manifest immediately after stepping off A
can you leap that far? maybe you can. but what will you miss if you do?
” Take ONE step at a time. Repeat. ” I can attest to having difficulties remembering this mantra and instead of enjoying each step, agonizing over why I’m slow or why I’m not done already. Pure torture. So let’s focus on the delicious delicacy of doing deeds one step with delight.
