Help for women. Periods, Menopause and HOT FLASH HELL

HOT FLASH HELL. (ring a bell?) I’ve got some help for women of all ages regardless of whether you’re going through menopause or have a teen suffering who’s just gotten her period. Drugs aren’t the answer. Dig in with me here and let’s get to the root cause of WHY YOU’RE not in balance.

I got my first period just before my 12th birthday. My mom had had “the talk” with me. You remember “the talk”?
LOL. While I wasn’t delighted, I knew why there was blood in my underwear that summer morning.

Pads with two long ends and a belt. Ancient history if you even remember this outdated ritual rag. This long fat pad was way before stick on tape and super absorbent gels with wings…but i digress…

Hormonal imbalances can begin as early as the teen years and continue on through pregnancies, postpartum, peri and post menopause. That’s a LONG time. Decades. Menopause and the process in between child bearing years, peri-menopause and menopause can be debilitating for us gals.

From teens with new periods to menopause and beyond many women reach for over the counter or prescription drugs that mute the madness, and the symptoms and discomforts. We also tend to reach for sugar or foods that comfort us which can further imbalances, pain and more symptoms that cycle and spin out of control.

Bloating, cramps, cravings, cancers, endometriosis, fibroids, hysterectomy, pcos (poly cyctic ovaries), pregnancy, post partum, peri- and post- menopausal– All these hormonal fluctuations can feel like living with a raging hot stabbing devil within you daily. Can you relate?

Many symptoms can be cleared. They can be cleared by restoring your system in to it’s HAPPY BALANCE. If you have any symptoms, you’ve got at least one thing (or more-because they like to keep company) out of sync.

All too often medical help suggests medicating and suppressing rather than fixing the root cause of your symptoms. Unfortunately this is our current cultural normal.
However, it’s NOT NORMAL to have symptoms and feel crappy constantly.

You have options. Listen, your NORMAL and NATURAL state is HEALTHY. Not symptomatic, sour and suffering feeling like a dissonant, off key chord.

You need HELP to SHIFT in to a new perspective. Open a new door with me that will allow you to refresh, access and restore your natural health and balance.
Can you imagine some of the amazing things you will do when you’re free from repetitive ongoing persistent pain and symptoms?


Most of us of the female persuasion began experiencing some kind of hormonal odd things when we first began our monthly period.
Emotional rollercoasters
Cramps
Bloating
Cravings
Weight gain
Irritability
What are your experiences?

Somewhere between 35 to 50ish our “change” begins. This shift can create years of unpleasant and annoying symptoms as we transition through menopause.

I’m here to give you options that provide SOLUTIONS. I can help you establish a healthy balance again, alleviate unpleasant symptoms from whackadoodle on-the-loose (far less cute than a loose labradoodle) wild hormonal HELLIONS. These little demons they can be nasty. Right? I’ll bet you know all the symptoms I’m talking about.
Trouble is…we get so used to feeling not great that THAT seems normal.
It’s not. And the sooner you get help to resolve the symptoms, the easier everything in your life becomes.

I’ll interject here with my own personal NIGHTMARE as my hot flashes crescendoed at about twice a minute! (that’s how i remember it anyway)
Honestly they were beyond annoying and definitely coming at multiple times within 5 minute intervals. MULTIPLE TIMES.
*hot flashes are not like an orgasm and are NOT pleasurable at this frequency.

I’d dealt well with my hot flashes up to this point and laughed them off, trying to be wise and kindly calling them humid beach retreats
(even though they were NOT beach retreats! Trying to make the best of it because, well…it was what I was going through and I wanted to make the best of it in any positive way I could. Can you relate to this too?)
Suffering through them was not a good alternative.

While I generally stay away from medications, I’d tried many of the “standard” go to herbs like black cohash and creams but nothing was helpful.
Deep down, due to my training and education, I knew EXACTLY why they weren’t working for me, but still, I had hoped they would work without having to dig deeper.
It’s almost ALWAYS necessary to dig deeper to FIX not mute all problems!


There’s not a magic bullet; BUT I have the keys to the kingdom, and the trick was to TREAT MYSELF in the same way I treat my patients. How’s that?
I needed to find out what MY BODY needed.

THAT IS THE MAGIC. That’s how I can smack the bulls eye and restore balance. Move on over get out of my way you pesky symptoms. We don’t want you in our face. Scram.

So, I resolved to just do it.
I took the time and attention to focus and treat MYSELF like I focus on my patients.
My needs weren’t complicated. My body’s spoke as to what it needed that would deliver the results.

It was wild. Within minutes, my hot flashes decreased dramatically.

There was tremendous, immediate relief. OMG the nightmare of spontaneously stripping naked on a public street disappeared!

The benefit in all this for YOU is You don’t have to suffer any longer if you work with me to help you.

Start before you’re ready…

(which literally wrote itself thru me quite quickly)
in 2013.

SIX plus years ago.
I kept it UNLISTED
underwraps and hidden on YouTube until TODAY.

Because I’m keeping a promise to myself to begin.
Am I ready to share it? yes…but HELL NO!


it’s not perfectly filmed.
i am in sweats, in bed and
an email “dinged in” mid way…

BUT I’ve made it PUBLIC
BECAUSE I’M NOT READY
(yet SO ready)
BECAUSE THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS PERFECT

There IS the very best output of YOU that you CAN DO right NOW.

Waiting six or sixty years won’t perfect that #truth
100% Guaranteed.

Practice…one step then the next…
I am practicing on myself as usual.

Does Your Perspective Matter?

Perspective

Have you ever looked

at a struggle, goal, or dream you keep stumbling on over and over again

from an obscure position? Maybe…but probably not.

So why don’t we shift? Especially when we hit a place it seems we can’t get through?

 

A new perspective runs the whole show differently.

It seems foreign, totally topsy turvy, no subtitles. At first glance we turn away to the familiar.

We need to get used to a different scene, a different feeling, a different dialog.

 

I urge you. Stay put. Let the lights dim. Accommodate. Don’t bee line out during the preview.

 

It’s a lot like hitting the shores to sunbathe. As a veteran, you know how to move your towel to catch the rays as sun arcs the sky.

This gives you the perfect even tan.

 

Perspective is like sunbathing.

It’s also like picking the right shoe to strut your stuff without distress.

 

Let’s say you and I go out for the day to sight see. There’s no doubt as you get dressed which shoes you’ll choose.

No blisters. No aching feet. No misery that prohibits walking. You’re going easiest on the soles.

You’d never make it through a hike in your 9 inch stilettos? Obscene. Objection. Ouch!

No cushion, no support, no good, no good, no good…not a fit for this adventure.

 

No need to be shy. Greet perspective eye to eye.

 

 

As easily as knowing the shoes you’ll pick or tanning with the suns path in the sky, open the door of your minds eye.

Be a detective; explore a shifted perspective.

Ingredients
  • Curiosity
  • Desire for Freedom
  • Bound Breaking Vision
  • Visionary Glasses
  • Water for Fluidity
Instructions
  1. With a curious mind
  2. Consider where in life you want more space, more freedom?
  3. Make a list or just choose one (for now)
  4. Take a few deep breaths
  5. Close your eyes
  6. Get the feeling of where you're held back or want more space and freedom.
  7. Open an imaginary door or brush off the edge to get beyond the end or boundary.
  8. Open your mind to capture glimpses of what could be...
  9. What could be?
  10. What does it look like beyond where you usually stop?
  11. Take as long as you need to explore.
  12. It's useful to write/journal/color/mind map or creatively put to paper your process exploring.
  13. Perspective is a most useful tool for travel to get your ideas and feelings in line with the life you want to live in the way you want to live it.
  14. Go...practice.
  15. Feel free to modify the recipe to suit you.
